Our
Story
Nestled in the vibrant heart of Boston, Seeders began as a shared dream between two high school students, Jiahan Jacey Li and David Luo. Our vision, though simple, bore profound aspirations: to bridge the educational divide and illuminate brighter paths for underprivileged children. As high school students, our joint mission is to offer complimentary tutoring to children facing more challenging family backgrounds.
Jiahan's profound passion for music was ignited by the unwavering dedication of Mr. Benjamin Zander, the inspirational conductor of the Boston Philharmonic Youth Orchestra (BPYO). Deeply moved by his commitment to free music education, Jiahan envisioned a harmonious fusion of her love for education and music within Seeders. David is passionate about helping women and children from challenging family environments. Consequently, Seeders encourage our students to support the noble causes of BPYO and Domestic Violence Ended.
Seeders swiftly evolved into a collective endeavor, attracting like-minded high school students who share the same vision. Together, we embody the transformation of dreams into tangible realities, one small act of kindness at a time.

My name is Jiahan Jacey Li, and I am currently a sophomore at the Commonwealth School. From a young age, I've harbored a deep-seated passion for computer science, gaining proficiency in Java, Processing, Python, and BSL in DrRacket. Beyond the digital realm, music plays a significant role in my life. With ten years of violin and eight years of piano training under my belt, I currently contribute my talents as a violinist to the Boston Philharmonic Youth Orchestra and as a pianist in the Commonwealth School's chamber group. My musical journey has been highlighted by serving as the concertmaster at the 2022 Eastern Junior Festival, and I look forward to performing with the 2024 Massachusetts All-State Concert Ensemble. Additionally, creative writing is another forte of mine, having penned several novels during my leisure time. I already taught three violin students and one creative writing student.

I am in 11th grade at Belmont Hill School and enjoy learning about STEM subjects, writing, and literature. Through my various interests, I have created certain environments that enable me to learn more about these subjects and teach them to others. I founded computer science club and am the lead programmer for school robotics team. These opportunities allowed me to teach others about programming, Python, Java, machine learning and AI. I am also very interested in Biology and Chemistry. I am a co-leader of school STEM club, the captain of our school's National Science Bowl team, and part of school math team. I am currently working as research interns in two labs in Brigham and Women’s Hospital and VA Boston Medical Center. I also enjoy writing for our school newspaper and have taken creative writing classes.
